Broadway Toyota-Scion and Take Action INC have partnered together to feed the children.

Take Action INC is an Oregon non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing food to hungry children in the Portland Metropolitan area and continuously growing.

Did you know?…

…that thousands of underprivileged children in the Portland Metropolitan area receive free/reduced meals at school during the week, but many of them have little to no food at home over the weekend.  With your donations of food and funds, we provide food each Friday to roughly 170 of these children at five area schools.  We hope you will want to join us in this process. 

Our primary goals are to find the resources to provide ongoing support for these children, increase public awareness about hungry children in our midst, and at the same time encourage other churches and organizations to adopt schools of their own.  If you are interested in helping or starting a program, please email Janetdhuber@comcast.net  or call 503.635.2671.

Sitton, James John, Rosa Parks, Cesar Chavez and Markham elementary schools make up our core group.  Deer Creek Elementary has been added in the fall of 2011. 

With roots at Mountain Park Church in Lake Oswego, we are quickly growing into a community wide organization.
